(Chanteclerc)
Chantecler is a very attractive French apple, with a golden yellow skin and often a light orange flush.
The flesh has a fine light texture, and is quite soft. The flavour is mild, basically sweet, but with some acidity.
The apples are quite large, and ripen late in the season. They keep well.
Chantecler is grown commercially in France and is often available in supermarkets.
Next deliveries: January - February 2025
