Radost is an early-season Cornelian cherry featuring bright red fruits - which turn very dark red as they become ripe. The fruits will hang on the tree even when fully ripe.
Radost has a higher level of acid than most Cornelian cherries, making it particularly good for culinary purposes. The stone comes away easily from the flesh.
Please note these plants are not certified bio / organic, although they are ideal for growing in an organic regime as they tend not to suffer from pests or diseases.
Radost is not self-fertile, we recommend you plant another different Cornelian cherry variety nearby - a yellow-fruited variety would be best.
Radost is very easy to grow, but do not allow the tree to dry out over the summer - regular watering is needed.
