Starokijewkij is a mid / late season Cornelian cherry, ripening in early September. The dark red pear-shaped fruits can be used for both cooking and eating fresh.
Please note these plants are not certified bio / organic, although they are ideal for growing in an organic regime as they tend not to suffer from pests or diseases.
Starokijewkij is not self-fertile, we recommend you plant another different Cornelian cherry variety, nearby - a yellow variety would be best.
Starokijewkij is very easy to grow, but do not allow the tree to dry out over the summer - regular watering is needed.
