Tomuri kiwi

Tomuri is a male kiwi of the large-fruited species Actinidia deliciosa. Although it does not produce fruit, its blossom will pollinate female kiwis of the same species.

For best results the female plants should be positioned within 5m-10m, and one male plant can pollinate 5-8 female plants.

Tomuri will also pollinate self-fertile kiwis of the same species - although self-fertile varieties do not require a pollinator, they will usually crop better in the presence of a male pollinator.
