Hayward is one of the most popular of the fuzzy or large-fruited kiwis - the kind you usually find on sale in supermarkets. This species is twice the size of the smooth-skinned species, but the rough skin is not edible and the fruits are usually peeled before eating.
Sorry we have not produced any trees of this variety this season.
Hayward is not self-fertile and requires a male pollinator kiwi plant nearby, of the same species (Actinidia deliciosa). Tomuri is a good choice. Conversely, it cannot be pollinated by any varieties of the small-fruited kiwi species.
