  • Picking season: Very late
  • Self-fertility: Not self-fertile

Fuji is a popular commercial apple variety, renowned for its mild sweet flavour and crisp texture. The skin colors can vary from red/pink flush over yellow to a deeper speckled pink.

Fuji does best in warm climates, and needs a long growing season to allow it to develop its full potential. The apples are usually ripe in late October or early November.

The apples can be kept for many months in a fridge.

Fuji seems to be a variety that repays care and attention by the grower during the growing season.
